Village Agents
We are helping people in rural communities live independently through our Village Agent service.
Village Agents connect individuals to services and organisations, enabling them to remain independent in their home for as long as possible. They provide practical support and advice on a 1:1 basis through home visits, as well as liaising closely with voluntary groups, parish and town councils, and health providers to join up efforts and make sure the needs of those they are working with are better served.
Since the introduction of Village Agents in 2010, their work has grown in impact and reach. Today, our service operates across Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset, addressing loneliness and social isolation, reducing health inequalities and lessening financial impact on statutory services.
