Village halls information & advice

We help keep these vital rural community buildings open for the benefit of local residents and businesses

Incredibly, these community assets are almost entirely run by volunteers on a not for profit basis. But this is no easy task. Running a village hall requires good governance, securing funding and an ability to negotiate red tape. Many halls also tell us they find it difficult to recruit new committee members.

As a member of the ACRE Network, we are pleased to be able to tap into wider best practice and specialist resources to offer information and advice to those involved with village hall management committees. This includes support with:

  • Accounting and insurance

  • Community engagement

  • Fundraising

  • Governance and legal status

  • Health and safety

  • Managing repairs and renovations

  • Safeguarding
