Small grants for rural community buildings

A Defra funded grant scheme reopened on 10 November 2025, aiming to support smaller projects that enhance, upgrade, extend or improve a village hall or community building. Committees can apply for an award of between £2000 and £5000 (20% of project costs), where they have the 80% match funding in place.

The scheme will remain open until all the funding is fully allocated.
