Community based in the rural parishes of North Somerset
10 flexible hours per week
An exciting post for a caring and motivated individual. The post holder will be responsible for making contact with, supporting and signposting services for vulnerable individuals, particularly older people, within specific rural parishes in North Somerset. This service is provided by the West of England Rural Network in partnership with Curo.
The postholder will work throughout the parishes of Banwell, Bleadon, Hutton, Uphill, Locking, Loxton and Winscombe.
The main duties will include working as part of a team to make contact with local people; to identify vulnerable individuals; respond holistically, promptly and appropriately to the issues and needs identified; provide accurate, high quality information; create referrals of appropriate urgency to relevant agencies and service providers and to engage with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
The successful applicant will be employed by WERN and will work within and alongside Curo’s Community Connect team.
